Chief Dr. Raphael Oguariri

Chief Dr. Raphael Mbadiwe Oguariri is from Obi-Orodo in Mbaitoli, Imo State. He is an author and co-author of many textbooks; a well published scientist with over 20 national and international scientific papers; a Professor of Biology and a health care provider. He is a recipient of many academic and professional awards. Dr. Oguariri is a true lover and supporter of Community Development Activities. Above all, he is a believer, who believes in the word of God, stands for the truth and says the truth without fear or favor.  

Academically, Dr. Oguariri has a sound academic background with extensive training in the field of Cellular and Molecular Biology, Parasitology, and Infectious Diseases research. He is a highly motivated, confident, conscientious, hardworking, trustworthy and reliable young man who works productively both independently and in a team environment. His record of peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable International scientific journals is eloquent testimony of his hard work and research capabilities.

With respect to leadership, Dr. Oguariri is gifted and possesses extraordinary leadership skills and capabilities. As a student, he served at various capacities as a student leader including: Secretary and President-National Zoology students Association, Imo state University (1988-1990); Coordinator -Postgraduate Students Association University of Ibadan (1994-1995) and President of African Students Union, University of Tuebingen, Germany (1999-2002). He is the founder and President of Orodo Progressive Union, Maryland DC, Virginia Branch, as well as the founder and President of Mbaitoli Association of Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia.

Dr. Oguariri joined ICOTTHUSA in 2012 and has served as the Director of Socials ICOTTH USA. He is currently the National Vice President of ICOTTHUSA. His vision for ICOTTH is to sanitize the Igbo titleship and restore dignity among authentic titled men and women.

His goal is to contribute in positioning ICOTTH to a high level of trust in the Community; such that ICOTTH will be known everywhere as an honest council that believes in truth and justice. He also would like to see that ICOTTH champions the course for the promotion of Igbo Language and Culture. [Dr Oguariri holds two Chieftaincy titles: The Enyimba 1 of Obi-Orodo and Ezi Ogo 1 of Uloano Ndugba].
